Welcome to Nation Pest Control
Flies & Mosquitoes are a major vector pest in spreading disease. Flies live and breed in filth-ridden environments and can spread food poisoning bacteria and viruses when they land on our food. Mosquitoes are transmitters of numerous fatal diseases, such as Malaria and Dengue fever, which kill millions of people worldwide every year.
Electronic Fly Killers (EFK's) are often used to supplement an IPM system to help control flying insect pests. Effectively positioned EFK's will provide a permanent control solution that will intercept fly pests once they have passed the initial control systems.
National Pest Control supplies professional EFK's manufactured by Bower UK who have been producing world renowned machines for over 20years. Their continual development & consistent high quality standards have been key to their success, some of the many features of their machines are:
Quantum BL Lamps
Most standard ultraviolet lamps used in fly killer's peak at 350 nanometers. In conjunction with major lamp manufacturer SYLVANIA, Insect-A-Clear have developed Quantum Lamps with a sharpened peak of 365 nanometers (the optimum level for insect eye sensitivity). These advanced lamps retain their attractiveness for longer, resulting in far greater catches - independent tests have shown increases between 57% - 82%.
When considering what type of tube to buy it is also important to consider whether it should be shatter resistant or not. Shatter resistant tubes provide additional safety, a thin plastic sleeve is placed around the tube to prevent the glass shattering thus minimizing potential harm to you or your product.
All Steel Construction
It is a well known fact that Ultra Violet light degrades plastic causing it to go brittle, but this is not the only reason why Insect-A-Clear manufactures their fly killers from steel or stainless steel. Chassis webs can be kept thinner on metal cased units, reducing the potential build up of grease, grime and bacteria, making the units easier to clean and therefore more hygienic.
What Fly Killers & Where
When choosing an electronic fly killer there are many factors that will influence your decision. The most important of which is in what area do you need to locate the machine. The location of the machine determines the size, type & design of the product most suited for your needs. National Pest Control offers an entire range of machines suitable for all types of locations from your Home to Restaurants, food production plants and commercial properties.
Electrical grid machines are the most common and work by attracting flies using the UV tubes, once attracted to the machine they are electrocuted by touching the grid located within the machine. Whilst these machines are highly effective for back of house areas they are not the most aesthetically pleasing.
Increasingly people are turning to glue board machines these still work by attracting flies using UV light but instead of immobilizing the flies by electrocution they do so by large glue pads to which the flies stick. These machines are commonly designed for areas where image is important and are widely used in food related areas as potential contamination to food product, which you get with grid designed machines, is removed.
